Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation continues to closely follow the evolving Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) conditions in Colorado.
Our Foundation leaders, comprising the member-directed Board and key fundraising Event Chairs, have determined that canceling the 2020 Denver Polo Classic and 2020 Denver Barn Party is necessary due to event restrictions and guidelines during the pandemic. While this creates significant fundraising challenges, we remain steadfast in our focus on our mission to transform the lives of at-risk and disadvantaged children in Colorado.
We are excited to announce an amazing opportunity – we will host a social distanced live (limited) and virtual fundraising concert on September 12 to benefit Colorado’s children! We are relying on the recommendations of the State of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to guide our planning and event health and safety.
Emphasizing social distance and safe health conditions, we will host approximately 200 guests in a space with a capacity of more than 800. Guests and sponsors will enjoy the signature Denver Active 20-30 world-class fundraiser patron experience they expect at the live event with a major musical entertainer, high-end cuisine and libations, mobile silent auction, and a live auction – while a virtual streaming experience will be delivered for “host @home, @work, or @anywhere” viewers online.
More than ever, at-risk and disadvantaged children in our community need your help during and after the COVID-19 crisis. Adversity spreads across our community, and the health and economic crisis has hit these children especially hard. Abuse and trauma, hunger, educational gaps, medical care access . . . the pandemic deepens the devastation they struggle to overcome. And Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation faces an uphill battle to sustain more than 60 nonprofits that deliver critical services to underserved children.
Our paramount concern continues to be the welfare of our members, sponsors, partners, and community. Please follow the CDC’s guidance for protecting yourself and others and reach out to Adam Cohen, Executive Director, if you have any questions at 303-832-8390 or mailto:adam@www.denverchildrensfoundation.org.
