Looking back on 2017 we had a tremendously successful year. We celebrated our 30th anniversary by being able to grant out $865,000 to 61 best-in-class charities that support at-risk youth in the Denver metro area. It was your generous support which made all this possible. These charities make a significant impact on the lives of children in need and this financial support is critical to their programs. We want to thank all our wonderful partners, sponsors, donors and attendees of our events for making 2017 a great year.
Improved Grant Review Process – We take the responsibility to be good stewards of the funds we raise seriously. As such, we have over time developed a thorough grant review process to ensure funds are allocated to best-in-class charities. In 2017 we made further refinements to this process which have greatly increased the efficiency and effectiveness of the grant review process.
Branding – We engaged a consulting group to assist us with a rebranding project. This branding which you’ll find at the end of this letter will be used to ensure consistency in our messaging about our group which will help us secure additional funding.
IT Update – In 2017 we completely revamped our website with a new infrastructure that’s secure, modern, and integrated with other aspects of our organization. We also updated our content and design to provide a better user experience for our site visitors.
SVP Partnership – We partnered with Social Venture Partners on two projects in which our members had an opportunity to perform consulting work for two charities. This consulting work is designed to improve those charities. The work our members did was a huge success and also provides our membership with an opportunity to develop unique skills in the philanthropic space.
Event Success – Our signature events all reached new all-time highs in fundraising totals.
Member of the Year – The Member of the Year as voted on by our membership was Bryce Ballew. Bryce is a great example of a business leader who is passionate about giving back and serving his community.
