Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation is closely following the rapid pace of developments related to the spread of the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
Foundation leadership, including Event Chairs, are actively evaluating the implications of the ongoing COVID-19 outbreak and have initiated contingency planning for our 2020 events. We intend to sustain an organization that will meet our mission to transform the lives of at-risk and disadvantaged children – while safeguarding the health and welfare of our members, sponsors, partners, and friends in the community.
We are coordinating with critical stakeholders, local jurisdictions, and partners engaged in the Leaders Fore Kids Golf Classic (June 4), Denver Polo Classic (June 26-28), and Denver Barn Party (September TBD). At this time, we plan to host our events as scheduled if conditions allow. Over the next 30-45 days, we will actively monitor the situation and investigate alternatives including event postponement to future 2020 date(s). We will rely on recommendations issued by the State of Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) for guidance in our decision-making.
We anticipate making any decision concerning postponement no later than May 1, 2020. While we plan to offer the world-class fundraising event experiences our sponsors and guests expect, should circumstances require cancellation of any event, we will work closely with sponsors on alternatives for the beneficial granting, future use, or refunding of event contributions.
Our primary concern now is the welfare of our members, sponsors, partners, and community. Please follow the CDC’s guidance for protecting yourself and others. Contact Adam Cohen, Executive Director, if you have any questions at 303-832-8390 or adam@www.denverchildrensfoundation.org.
