The gentlemen of Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation don’t raise $1 million a year for publicity. They do it for the kids – funding about 60 charities every year that serve at-risk and disadvantaged children.
On November 3, Friends First honored Denver Active 20-30 as their 2018 Community Partner of the Year. We are proud to share this well-deserved recognition with our key sponsors and donors, our partners, and the 100 Denver Active 20-30 members whose hard work raises funds that positively impact deserving children.
In addition to funding Friends First programs, Denver Active 20-30 collaborates with Social Venture Partners to build capacity in the organization. Dave Hite, Denver Active 20-30 Board member and Grant Review Chair, says “Thank you to Friends First for this recognition. Friends First offers a best-in-class peer mentoring program that embodies the type of work we support financially and through capacity-building. Keep up the great work!” In collaboration with SVP, Denver Active 20-30 Board member Skipp Stillwell and our team advised Friends First on a merger opportunity and assisted them with a licensing agreement and social enterprise program for their intellectual property.
So what’s next? Denver Active 20-30 members are preparing to distribute funds for the 2018 program year and are gearing up for Christmas for Kids, one of our most high-impact events of the year.
